LT Boys Ultimate

Goals of the Team:

The purpose of the Lane Tech Ultimate Frisbee Team is to grow as Ultimate players, teammates, compete at tournaments, and to advance the spirit of the game.  This is a competitive team that will participate in practices, league games, and tournaments, but we will also practice good sportsmanship and be supportive and good teammates.  We want to win when we play, but also be silly and enjoy our teammates and opponents at the same time. 

Practices:

Practices will be on Tuesday and Thursdays at Clark Park from 3:30-5:30.  We will work on skills, including throwing, cutting, and offensive and defensive strategy.  Practices will always conclude in a some sort of game, depending on numbers each day. 

Tournaments: 

CUJO - Chicago Ultimate Juniors Organization

• • • Dates: March 29th - May 24th (NO games on April 5th and May 10th), Sundays

    • Locations: 

      • Schiller Park East - March 29th - May 3rd

      • Ned Brown Meadow - May 17th and May 24th 

    • Time: 9:30am-1:15pm (games start at 10am, arrive early for warm up)

Neuqua Knockout

• Dates: Sautrday May 9th - Sunday May 10th

• Location: Mercyhealth Sportscore Two, Loves Park, IL

• Time:

State Tournament

• Dates: Friday May 29th - Saturday May 30th

• Location: TBD - Most likely Naperville

• Time: TBD - Plan for the evening on Friday (if needed for seeding) and most of the day for Saturday (8:00am-3:30pm)

Tournaments are long weekends, but they are when you fall in love with the game.  Ask a returner and they will tell you all about them.

Costs: 

• Spring Season Dues: $50, which covers the cost of tournament fees listed above.

• USAU Membership: $45, this covers all accident and liability insurance for sanctioned events and provides eligibility to compete in all levels of Ultimate for the rest of 2026 (membership must be purchased each year). 

• Jerseys: $75 for a set.  The sets will be good for each year, so buying one set will get you through all years you are on the team, but you are always able to buy extras. This can be purchased DIRECTLY through our store link.

To play in the State Tournament, then you must have a team jersey (shorts are optional).

Dues are important so that we can compete and travel.  We try to keep the costs to a minimum, but there are expenses throughout the season.  If you feel that you would like to contribute more than the $30, please do so at checkout in the store.  

At no point do we want individuals to not play due to money, so if you are on free and reduced lunch, or you do not feel that you can afford the dues, then you can fill out the scholarship form.  Ultimate is a sport for everyone!
