Goals of the Team:
The purpose of the Lane Tech Ultimate Frisbee Team is to grow as Ultimate players, teammates, compete at tournaments, and to advance the spirit of the game. This is a competitive team that will participate in practices, league games, and tournaments, but we will also practice good sportsmanship and be supportive and good teammates. We want to win when we play, but also be silly and enjoy our teammates and opponents at the same time. We will compete in multiple tournaments throughout the year and finish with the State tournament in late May.
Practices:
Spring practices (2026) will be on Monday (3:30-5:00) and Wednesday (3:15-4:15) at Clark Park. We meet at the south end of the park. Bring your cleats, water, and a disc. Make sure to dress for the weather.
If you have questions, feel free to contact Ms. Waite: kwaite1@cps.edu.

Tournaments are the most fun aspect of playing Ultimate!! They are long weekends, but tournaments are when you fall in love with the game. Ask a returner and they will tell you all about them.
Costs:
Spring Season Dues: $30, which covers the cost of tournament fees listed above.
USAU Membership: $45, this covers all accident and liability insurance for sanctioned events and provides eligibility to compete in all levels of Ultimate for the rest of 2026 (membership must be purchased each year).
Jerseys: $75 for a set. The sets will be good for each year, so buying one set will get you through all years you are on the team, but you are always able to buy extras. This can be purchased DIRECTLY through our store link.
To play in the State Tournament, then you must have a team jersey (shorts are optional).
Dues are important so that we can compete and travel. We try to keep the costs to a minimum, but there are expenses throughout the season. If you feel that you would like to contribute more than the $30, please do so at checkout in the store.
At no point do we want individuals to not play due to money, so if you are on free and reduced lunch, or you do not feel that you can afford the dues, then you can fill out the scholarship form. Ultimate is a sport for everyone!
Pay Dues - Can be paid via cash/check made out to _____ or through the online link here
USAU Membership (sign up for USAU number, and pay the fee for a youth membership)
If needed - Purchase a Jersey (especially if playing in the State Series) - link in store.
